So you want to write a book…
Or maybe you’ve started one. Or thought about it. Or told your friends you might write something one day if life ever slows down (it won’t).
Wherever you are on the writing path — if you’re new to the craft, this space is for you.
Who This Site is For
This site is for:
- New writers who don’t know where to start
- Aspiring authors who are overwhelmed by all the advice out there
- People who love storytelling but don’t know how to shape it into something real
- Anyone who’s ever Googled “how many words should a novel be?” and closed the tab in despair
If that’s you — welcome. You’re in exactly the right place.
Why I Made This Site
When I started writing, I had a lot of questions and very few answers. Most of the advice I found was either too vague, too technical, or aimed at people already halfway to a publishing deal.
I wanted something clearer. Simpler. More encouraging. So I built it.
Here, you’ll find:
- Articles that break down storytelling, structure, and writing habits in plain English
- Tips to help you keep going when motivation dips
- Resources to guide you from idea to finished draft
- And a free planning tool to help you organise your scenes, characters, and story arcs
No pressure. No ego. Just support.
My Promise
I’m not here to gatekeep or tell you there’s only one way to write.
I’m here to share what I’ve learned, offer useful tools, and hopefully help you get from “I want to write” to “I’m writing.”
Whether you’re dreaming up a fantasy epic, crafting a crime novel, or just trying to get to 500 words without deleting them all — this site exists to help you start, keep going, and maybe even finish.
Because every writer starts somewhere. Let this be your somewhere.
